Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and first female recipient. Alongside receiving nine Grammy nominations She was also the very first Indian-origin musician to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shakar, who is just a emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She's the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. She was a child who bounded around from London in the UK to New Delhi. The first time she performed was at New Delhi at the tender age of 13. Then she relocated into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha, who is only 17 years old, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She regularly performs with her dad and has done so for many years. In 1998, she released her first single album Anourag. Her Grammy-nominated Live At Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002. She has performed at most major venues around the globe. Anoushka Shakar's work is not restricted to just music. Bapi The Love of My Live is her 2002 novel, and is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. She also acted on movie in 2003. Her role was as a Bharat natyam dancer in Dance Like a Man. Anoushka is still progressing in her professional career, and we can expect many more things to come from this talented woman. Anoushka lived a long time between London and Delhi in her early years. Later, she moved to California to attend high school. In Delhi during his birthday celebrations for his 75th birthday, Anoushka made her debut playing the sitar in front of the audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Anoushka performed with her father on his worldwide tour, gained an impressive amount of experience. In her teenage years she appeared in Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and recorded alongside George Harrison. The youngest female to win the House of Commons Shield, given by the British Parliament to recognize her talent and musicianship in music and the Asian Arts.
